Mohamed Salah appeared to hit back at transfer rumours with a cryptic post on social media which got Liverpool fans talking.

Salah has been the subject of intense transfer speculation after refusing to rule out a sensational move to Real Madrid or Barcelona.

Further reports suggest the 28-year-old is 'unhappy' at Anfield with the club reportedly open to selling their star man in the summer.

But Salah has seemingly played down speculation linking him with a move away from the English champions.

He posted a beaming selfie on Twitter with Liverpool supporters defending 'The Egyptian King'.

One fan wrote: "Nice for counter media said you're not happy in Liverpool. What a joke, Mohammed Salah the best player, record breaker and legend."

A second tweeted: "Does he look unhappy? Cos of captaincy he'd leave? Y'all not serious. Shine on my Egyptian King."

A third added: "Media: Liverpool are considering selling 'unhappy' Mo Salah Mo Salah:"

But speaking before the Premier League clash, he worried some fans with his comments about his future.

"I think Madrid and Barcelona are top clubs... We never know what is going to happen in the future, but right now I'm focused on winning the Premier League and the Champions League again with my club," he said.

The prolific forward continued by claiming everything is in Liverpool's hands regarding his future.

"That's a tough one, but right now I can say that everything is in the club's hands.

"Of course I want to break records here and, I repeat, every record in the club, but everything's in the hands of the club."
