Legendary midfielder Frank Lampard only spent the one year at Manchester City but he clearly left a lasting impression on Sergio Aguero after he named him as his favourite Premier League goalscorer of all-time

The Argentine's exploits in the Premier League have seen him heralded as the finest hitman in England scoring an impressive 107 goals needing just three more to crack the top 20.

And the feared marksman spoke with the clubs official website revealing his admiration for the ex-England midfielder. "My personal favourite, I'd like to choose Frank Lampard, who in spite of not being necessarily a striker, stands among the top 10 goal-scorers. That deserves praise."

Continuing to add by saying their short stint together was a "valuable experience". "I had the chance to play alongside him and it was a valuable experience. He's every inch a professional and a man you can respect."

Following a trophy-laden career at Chelsea, Lampard was subsequently released by the club where he enjoyed lifting the Premier League, FA Cup and the Champions League, eventually joining New York City before a brief loan at fellow-league rivals Manchester City. Lampard added his Premier League tally by bagging a further six goals while at Etihad racking up a mighty 175 goals from midfield.
