Ireland's late winner against Italy on Wednesday sparked scenes of great celebration and that was just in our office however the best celebration came from Ireland's assistant manager Roy Keane and mainly just because he showed the emotion known as happiness.
Keane won a lot of trophies with Manchester United and yet none of us can muster a single memory of him actually being happy during that time, it might be because it's all be blocked out by the scowling Keane of the latter part of his playing career, managerial career and television pundit gig.
However when Robbie Brady scored the winner against Italy sending the Irish through to the knockout stages in dramatic fashion Keane was so happy and emotional there was tears in his eyes. The former Sunderland manager was asked about his emotional outpour and he was in typical testy mood:
.
So apparently Keane is a really emotional guy and that doesn't just mean screaming at them or giving them the death stare, apparently it means giving them hugs and being happy, who knew.

Still I wouldn't go round to his and suggest you watch the notebook...
