Wayne Rooney made his Manchester United debut 15 years ago today. Time really does fly by, doesn't it?
For those who watched his debut in 2004 -- or were lucky enough to see it in person -- will remember how he made his presence felt by bagging a hat-trick against Fenerbahçe in the Red Devils' Champions League clash.
And now the rest is history.
Rooney made the switch from Everton to the Red Devils for £25.6 million.
The England hero enjoyed a fruitful career at United, winning five Premier League titles, the FA Cup, the Champions League and the Europa League.
He also became England and United's all-time record scorer, eclipsing both records previously held by Sir Bobby Charlton.
Rooney called an end on his 13-year stint with United in 2017, moving back to boyhood club Everton for one season.
'Wazza' scored ten times for the Toffees before calling it time on his Premier League career.
Rooney made the switch to the MLS and now plays for D.C. United, having made 14 appearances and finding the back of the net on five occasions.
Whenever the 33-year-old decides to hang up his boots, he'll no doubt have his place secure in the history books.
