Convincing the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Neymar to put pen to paper on anything usually revolves around extortionate sums of money being deposited into the pair's bank accounts. But such sums are usually exclusive to contract extensions, not scribbling their autographs on a few football cards.

Now, even A-List footballers couldn't command too big of a fee for scribbling their names on a few pieces of card, could they? Well, according to El Confidencial, they fucking well can.

The Spanish newspaper has revealed that, in 2013, Panini America (which sounds a lot like a terrible USA themed sandwich shop) agreed a deal with Neymar to the tune of 46,625 euros for signing 600 cards, equating to 78 euros per card.

Ronaldo, meanwhile, put pen to paper (and card) on a deal worth 163,188 euros to sign 1,000 trading cards and four collector's editions, in 2015, earning the upcoming Ballon d'Or winner 163 euros per card.

We can only assume that both players put their fees towards buying the finest wrist support money can buy to deal with the strain of writing hundreds of autographs in a row or they just donated a portion of their earnings to a team of people to do the signing for them while they busy themselves with buying speedboats and taking supermodels out for supper or whatever the shite it is footballers of their standing do in their spare time.
