He may have arrived for £14m only eight months ago, but Oumar Niasse is already heading for the exit door at Goodison Park, after new Everton manager Ronald Koeman confirmed the striker is not what the club want.
The Senegalese international was former manager Roberto Martinez's final signing for the club, but he played only 152 minutes of football for the Toffees and was presumably hoping to build on that under Koeman, this season. The former Lokomotiv Moscow man presumed wrong.
Koeman told the Liverpool Echo, "Niasse, in my opinion, is not what we need for the future in that position. But good luck to the boy."

The writing did appear to be on the wall for the 26-year-old when he wasn't allocated a squad number for the coming season. Galatasaray and Crystal Palace are believed to be interested in securing his signature. He had just two shots on target in his Everton career.
