In news that will come as little surprise to anyone, Roman Abramovich has reportedly rewarded Antonio Conte for his phenomenal start as Chelsea manager with a new contract to extend the Italian's stay at Stamford Bridge.
Since taking over as Blues' boss last Summer, the former Juventus and Italy coach has led Chelsea to the top of the Premier League table, where they sit eight points clear of Manchester City in second place.
Chelsea fans can be expecting to see much more of this at Stamford Bridge...
Chelsea have also advanced to the quarter-finals of the FA Cup, where they will face Manchester United, and Tuttomercatoweb are now reporting that this early success has forced Roman Abramovich's hand.

Chelsea's Russian billionaire owner is believed to have already extended Conte's current deal, set to expire in 2019, by an extra year.

The report does not state whether or not Conte's salary will be increased as part of the extension, although the Italian manager is surely in line for a substantial bonus at the end of this season with Premier League success almost a certainty, with 13 games of the league season left.
Of course, given Abramovich's track record with managers, we still wouldn't be surprised if Conte didn't last all the way through to 2020. The Russian has sacked the last two managers who have won Chelsea the league (Jose Mourinho and Carlo Ancelotti), after all.
