Romain Saiss somehow missed an open goal from point-blank range in the miss of the season.

The Wolves man fluffed his lines from ONE yard out after the ball ricocheted to him inside Aston Villa's box.

The Moroccan international was unable to hit the back of the net, blazing over the bar.

He had his hands on his head as he laid on the ground in disbelief with teammate Willian Jose eventually helping him back to his feet.

Needless to say, Saiss' dreadful moment in front of goal got fans talking online.

One Twitter user wrote: "Was honestly harder to miss."

A second tweeted: "Miss of the season by a mile. How did he miss that?"

A third added: "Hahaha that is impressive!! How the hell has he managed that."

Saiss' miss proved crucial as Villa and Wolves played out a goalless draw.
