Riyad Mahrez is smashing the fan vote for the FIFA 22 cover star.
And thousands of fans want the former Leicester City man to be front and centre on FIFA 22 when it is released in September.
FIFPlay, a site completely devoted to FIFA-related content, regularly run a poll on who should be the cover star of the next game in EA Sports' football franchise game.
And so far, it's Algerian ace Mahrez who is leading the way. At the time of writing, Mahrez has accrued 42% of nearly 100,000 votes cast.
The closest rival to Mahrez is Liverpool's Mo Salah. The Egyptian has racked up 30% of votes thus far and is ahead of former cover stars Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, who are both tied on 4%.
Borussia Dortmund goal machine and EA athlete Erling Haaland finds himself seventh in the rankings with 2% of the votes - just ahead of the man who graced FIFA 21, Kylian Mbappe of Paris Saint-Germain.
Here is the top 10 in full at the time of writing:
It's worth noting that the results of the poll will have no bearing on EA's decision on who has the honour of being the cover star for the biggest football game on the planet.
However, it is interesting to see who the fans are hoping for.
In addition to Messi and Ronaldo, iconic cover stars over the years include Eden Hazard, Wayne Rooney, Kaka, Ronaldinho, Marco Reus and Jordan Henderson.
