Robert Lewandowski Responds To Aubameyang's Message

Last night, Robert Lewandowski laid down a marker for the new Bundesliga season with a hat-trick against Werder Bremen, last night as Bayern Munich began the defence of their crown with a thumping 6-0 victory.

The Polish striker was immediately congratulated by Borussia Dortmund rival Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and, after the Dortmund striker bagged a brace today, Lewandowski was just as quick to reply.

While the Gabonese striker couldn't quite hit the heights Lewandowski did, his two goal haul still delivered Thomas Tuchel's men an important opening day victory over Mainz. And his Polish counterpart was quick to remind him of the score in their own personal battle for the Bundesliga's Golden Boot.
