Joey Barton has been linked with a stunning move to Rangers this summer, but it appears the midfielder was once a follower of the club's bitter rivals Celtic.
Barton is out of contract at current club Burnley, and was reportedly at Rangers' Murray Park training complex today to view the facilities and weigh up his next move.
Having played a pivotal part in helping the Claret and Blues win promotion to the Premier League, Barton won't be short of offers, but the early reaction from Gers supporters suggests they hope the one-time England international ends up in Govan.

At 33, Barton is in the autumn phase of his career, but he could unquestionably still do a job in Scotland.
