A frustrated Pep Guardiola had his head in his hands after he took his seat for the second half of Manchester City's clash with Man United.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side took a 1-0 lead into half-time after Anthony Martial managed to squeeze his shot past Ederson.

And Football Daily has tweeted out a clip of a 'stressed' Guardiola heading to his seat for the second half at Old Trafford.

However, footage showed the City boss with his hands over his eyes as members of his team spoke to him.

Guardiola's men were unable to undo the damage in the second half and suffered a 2-0 defeat after Ederson made another costly mistake deep into injury time.

Bruno Fernandes, who has been in scintillating form since his arrival in January, was spotted shushing the City boss during his side's victory in the derby.

Guardiola admitted after the match that he was happy with his side's performance, but he felt that United "waited for our mistakes" and capitalised on the opportunities.

The 49-year-old Spaniard told BBC's Match of the Day: "We played good, we missed a little in the final third, but the second half was better and it was a good performance.

"We play the same way, tried the press and defend well and we did well. Our game is there, we played really good in terms of coming here.

"They wait and did long balls on the counter-attack for Daniel James and Anthony Martial.

"We did our game, but unfortunately we conceded a goal. They waited for our mistakes."

Defending champions City are now a whopping 25 points behind league leaders Liverpool after their 2-0 loss to United.

Guardiola's men will resume their league campaign on Wednesday when they welcome Arsenal to the Etihad.
