The 2018/19 Premier League season is drawing to a climatic end, so we're looking back at Jamie Carragher and Gary Neville's pre-season predictions.

Manchester City and Liverpool will go head-to-head for the Premier League in a fascinating title race.

City's destiny is in their own hands with both Carragher & Neville predicting the Blues to become English champions for the second year in a row.

They both named the same 'Top 4', too. They opted for City, Liverpool, Manchester United and Tottenham.

Spurs look set to secure Champions League football for next season unless an eight-goal swing with North-London rivals Arsenal is produced on the final day.

Of course, Manchester United have missed out on Champions League football. Carragher and Neville snubbed Chelsea but the West London outfit will play Champions League football next year after failing to qualify last season.

Carragher and Neville also named Everton as 'Top 6 challengers'. The Blue side of Merseyside have been pipped to the 'best of the rest' spot by Wolves.

Nuno Espirito Santo's charges will finish 7th regardless of results on the last day following promotion to the footballing promised land last season.

The Premier League Golden Boot is also still up for grabs. Four forwards are on 20+ goals with Liverpool's Mohamed Salah leading the way. He's bagged 22 goals, two more than Sergio Aguero, Sadio Mane and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

If City's Argentine hero beats Salah to the coveted individual prize, Neville would have successfully predicted the league's top scorer.

However, Carragher is off the mark after predicting Harry Kane. To be fair to him, the Spurs frontman has missed large chunks of the season through injury. He has, though, 17 league goals to his name.

The Liverpool hero and Manchester United legend also predicted their 'Player of the Year'. Again, they went the same. They both named David Silva.

While the Spanish midfield has been influential this season, he's been outshone by his teammates including namesake Bernardo Silva, Raheem Sterling and Aguero, who were all nominated for the 'PFA Player's Player of the Year'.

What about 'Young Talent'? Well, Carragher identified Fulham starlet Ryan Sessegnon. The 18-year-old has had a somewhat underwhelming debut campaign in England's top flight.

As for Neville, he predicted City's Phil Foden.

The 18-year-old phenom has featured in 13 Premier League games and scored the match-winner against Spurs to score his first league goal for the club.

Finally, 'One to watch' - the pair of pundits selected Liverpool players.

Carragher predicted summer signing Naby Keita while Neville named another summer signing in the shape of Alisson, who has played a massive role in Liverpool's title challenge.

The Brazilian keeper has kept an impressive 20 clean sheets.

Keita, on the other hand, hasn't had quite the term like his teammate since his switch from RB Leipzig.
