Real Madrid have been presented with an amazing opportunity to sign a Barcelona target after he rejected the chance to move to the Camp Nou in the January transfer window.

Santiago Solari is looking ahead to the end of the season and is keen to bolster the attacking options at Los Blancos' disposal.

According to Don Balón, the Spanish club have been linked with a move for Nicolas Pépé.

The Spanish magazine reports that the 23-year-old Lille winger's agent has 'offered' him to Madrid, as well as claiming that it will be his final year playing for the Ligue 1 club.

Pépé reportedly turned down the opportunity to play for Barça because he did not want to be a backup option for Luis Suárez.

It's not the first time that Barcelona have been interested in securing his services.

In 2018, Lille president Gérard López confirmed that several clubs were interested in the player, including Barcelona.

"It is true," he told RMC. "There are a few big clubs interested in him.

"Clubs contacted us directly after the [summer] transfer window to find out how to proceed. I wanted him to stay for at least one more season."

The Ivory Coast international could have more opportunities at the Santiago Bernabéu, especially with Gareth Bale's future uncertain at the club and also Isco being linked with an exit in the summer.

Pépé signed for the French club in 2017 and has made 62 appearances so far, finding the back of the net on 29 occasions.

So, will he leave?

Well, Lille manager Christophe Galtier recently admitted that it could be difficult to fend off interest for Pépé from different clubs.

"We hope that we can finish second this season and Nicolas stays here on our adventure in the Champions League," he said (via Sport and Football Espana).

"But we know it will be very tough to keep a player for whom many top European sides are interested in, of course he is fantastic.

"Look at Blaise Matuidi and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang at Saint-Étienne, it is very tough to maintain these stars."

Pépé is not the only target for Madrid and Barcelona, with both clubs interested in signing Eintracht Frankfurt's Luka Jović.

Should Pépé leave for Madrid in the summer?
