Surely not?

Luka Modric is comfortably one of the best midfielders in the world and would comfortably walk into any team in world football.

If you're looking for the complete midfielder, someone who completely and utterly controls the game and keeps things ticking over with a perfect range of passing, Modric is your man, and he's absolutely vital to Real Madrid and their way of playing.Yet apparently, he's not indispensable.

According to Spanish outlet Diario Gol, Real could be open to selling the Croatian midfielder, and there would no doubt be a queue of clubs interested in signing him if he does become available.

The report says that both Bayern Munich and PSG are interested, while Chelsea and Arsenal both want to bring him back to the Premier League and let him strut his stuff in English football once again.

Real president Florentino Perez wants a more youthful side, with several of Madrid's key players producing the goods but not getting any younger.

And Perez's plan to reshape Los Blancos could come at the expense of Modric, who may well look for a new challenge and a move away if the report is anything to go by.

The thought of Real being content with selling the 31-year old is quite incredible when you think of what he brings to this Real side, and the fact he has been so instrumental in their run to the Champions League final and potential La Liga title success.

Zinedine Zidane does have a wealth of midfield options at his disposal, in the form of Toni Kroos, Casemiro and Mateo Kovacic, but one cannot overstate the importance of Modric in the current set-up?

Can you see him moving on in the summer or do you smell bullshit?
