Luka Jovic may have only just signed permanently for Eintracht Frankfurt but there's word that he could be about to join the mighty Real Madrid in the summer.

Having only made two appearances for Benfica, he was loaned out to the Bundesliga outfit in the summer of 2017.

The Serbian international scored nine goals in his first campaign and this season he's exploded into one of the hottest, most in-demand strikers in European football - notchin 25 goals in all competitions - including eight in Frankfurt's brilliant run to the Europa League semi-finals.

This week Frankfurt announced they had exercise their option to outright purchase him for a dirt-cheap €7 million and signed him, yet according to ASAS, Real Madrid are in 'advanced talks' to sign the 21-year old.

It's said that Frankfurt are looking to make a substantial profit on the former Red Star Belgrade man and are willing to let him go for around €50 to 60 million euros - with Benfica having a 20 per cent sell on clause.

Jovic has been the subject of interest from a whole host of leading European giants such as Manchester United, Manchester City and Barcelona, though the player's father Milan, has said he wishes to stay put with Frankfurt and fire them into the Champions League.

"Luka has had many offers, one of them was Barca, but he's not interested now," he told BILD.

"He's not sure he would get any minutes at Barca. The truth is that Luka wants to stay in the Bundesliga and qualify with Eintracht for the Champions League."

Would Jovic be a perfect fit for Real Madrid?
