Lionel Messi made history on Sunday evening when he popped up in the 92nd minute at the Bernabeu to slot home his 500th Barcelona goal and give his side a vital 3-2 win against Real Madrid in a thrilling El Clasico at the Bernabeu - bringing Barca back to the top of the La Liga table.

The Argentine wheeled away in celebration, removed his shirt and held it aloft to stunned Real Madrid fans.

Several Barcelona fans managed to purchase seats in the home end for the fixture, with them seemingly not being able to attend the game in their own away section.

As Messi celebrates his dramatic winner, you can see a number of Barcelona fans celebrating in their Blaugrana colours.

And as a result of an investigation into how so many visiting supporters ended up in the home section, Real Madrid have cancelled 357 season tickets.

Here is the official statement from the club:

Putting it down to "irregular use of season tickets", Real have banned those who sold their season tickets to Barcelona fans for the game and will impose further sanctions if necessary.
