What Happened Between Jordan Henderson and Raheem Sterling That Made England Tweet

They're colleagues at international level, and were once teammates at Liverpool, but tensions heightened between Jordan Henderson and Raheem Sterling at Anfield in the Champions League quarter final second leg.
On in the second half of the 3-0 defeat, Sterling was greeted with another hostile reception and when Liverpool skipper Henderson mistimed a challenge on the 23-year old, he lost his cool for a moment.

Sterling aimed a kick-out in the direction of the man who skippers him for England and then shoved him. The City winger was let off the hook but Henderson was hit with a booking that keeps him out of the second leg at the Etihad.

Even though the two play with one another for England, emotions got the better of them today and the official Three Lions twitter account posted a cheeky tweet on the incident.

Sterling was then shown a yellow card for a cynical foul on Gini Wijnaldum as City experienced more misery at Anfield.
