Stop that, Philippe.
In preparation for the World Cup, Brazil recorded back-to-back victories against Russia then Germany.

But while he didn't get on the score-sheet, Coutinho got everybody talking for his masterful performance.
Including a naughty, naughty piece of skill on Leon Goretzka.
Coutinho drove with the ball as German's followed his trail. Goretzka tracked his run until a moment of magic.

He brilliantly stepped over the ball, before leaving him for dead after delivering a savage nutmeg.
That wasn't his only moment of brilliance:
Coutinho has been excelling following the absence of Neymar through injury, and Dani Alves even thinks he's on the same level as the Paris Saint-German phenom.

"I think that Coutinho is a player who is on the same level as Ney, he has a massive influence on our game and in his teams," he said via Goal.
"When he was in Liverpool and now in Barca, he has improved a lot and learned to read the game better, to make the right decisions.
"That is great to see, to play with such a good footballer who has that ability. There are others who are similar. We are lucky to play with great players and have them on our side is fantastic. We have to get the best out of them and build a solid team."
The thought of Coutinho and Neymar linking up is pretty terrifying.
