I don't like change at the best of times, so when the glorious Champions League ball changes from that angelic white to an appalling shade of blue, I begin to question the sorry state of modern day football.
From the wonderful 2013 Wembley final, when Adidas celebrated the 105th anniversary of the Football Association with an iconic ball design, to the Madrid final in 2010.
There has been some wonderful efforts down the years, but this one? I'm just not sure.

The reliable FootyHeadlines recently leaked pictures of the Champions League 2018/19 ball for the group stages, stating that the ball is 'predominantly white with a stunning navy and light blue design on the stars panels area showing thunderbolts after last season's group stage ball featured handwriting-style messages.'
I highly recommend that you take a seat for the following images.

The decision to introduce the iconic stars began in 2003 and to Adidas' credit they haven't changed that aspect of the design, but to change the colour is certainly controversial. Personally I don't understand the change, but you never know, it might grow on me.
According to Football-Balls, the upper structure and materials should be similar to the World Cup 2018 ball.
The Adidas Telstar 18 has been confirmed as the ball that all your favourite players will be leathering around Russia next summer. The ball is an ode to great World Cup balls of tournaments past, primarily throughout the 1970s and quite frankly, I can't wait to see it being pasted into all the top corners in Russia.
The Telstar 18 shows off a new panel shape, similar to what has been used recently at the U20 World Cup in South Korea, which was eventually won by England.
