It was certainly a night to forget for Arsenal fans.

Big Sam's Crystal Palace knocked three past the helpless Gunners as Andros Townsend, Yohan Cabaye and Luka Milivojević completed a 3-0 route at Selhurst Park.

To compile the misery, sixth-placed Arsenal did not manage a single shot on target in the second half, and a large proportion of the away support made their feelings known shortly after the final whistle blew.

As described by Arsenal fan @Lola_Lou16, defender Hector Bellerin was one of the few who came over to the away fans, but subsequently got booed because of his performance, and quickly turned and walked away.

Alex Oxlade Chamberlain, who was seemingly cheered, put his arm around him.

Former Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri and Sky pundit Jamie Carragher dissected Arsenal's humiliating loss to Crystal Palace which included a brilliant line from the former Liverpool defender.

Arsenal may have snapped a Premier League win drought over the weekend as they beat West Ham 3-0, but Arsene Wenger's charges endured more league misery at Crystal Palace on Monday night.

Big Sam's side are amidst a relegation dog fight but are slowly clawing themselves out of danger following the last few results.

Palace inflicted Chelsea with a rare home defeat, and their bid to survive the drop was boosted after picking up all-three points against London rivals, Arsenal.

Boy-hood Spurs fan Andros Townsend opened the scoring before Yohan Cabaye doubled their lead with a tidy finish.

Townsend then won a penalty which was converted by Luka Milivojevic.

Bellerin was then given some more stick, with the chant "you're not fit to wear the shirt' ringing around Selhurst while he was taking a throw in:

Following the victory, Palace now have some daylight between 18th placed-Swansea City, while Arsenal fail to overtake Manchester United, and lose ground on Manchester City in pursuit of Champions League.
