Liverpool star Virgil van Dijk answered a variety of questions during a brilliant Twitter Q&A on Tuesday amid the coronavirus outbreak.

The 28-year-old defender named his toughest opponent, the hardest player to mark and his favourite Liverpool goal while also hilariously trolling Jamie Carragher.

Who has been your toughest opponent?

- There are some difficult strikers out there but probably Leo Messi.

What was the feeling when you scored on your debut vs Everton of all the teams to put it past them?

- An unbelievable way to start my life at Anfield.

- The Boss.

- Joe Gomez.

- There are a few to mention. Making my debut as a professional footballer, making my debut for the national team, and of course Madrid.

Hardest person you've ever had to mark?

- [Sergio] Aguero.

- Either Joe or me.

Best player you played with at Celtic?

- I loved my time at Celtic and played with so many top players but a special mention for Stefan Johansen.

What was it like to be first defender to win UEFA Men's Player of the year award?

- A surreal and proud moment for me and something I'll never forget.

How do you feel when you hear the #UCL anthem?

- Special. Goosebumps.

What has been your favourite Liverpool goal so far ?

- Probably my goal against Man Utd.
