"Fergie in disguise..."

He's winning games in traditional Manchester United fashion and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is also chewing gum just like Sir Alex Ferguson.

Fans immediately spotted Solskjaer ferociously munching away in the dug-out.

Needless to say, United supporters thought of Sir Alex when they saw their current manager in a nostalgic moment.

Talking of the boss chewing gum back in the day, it's claimed Sir Alex's final piece of gum raised a whopping £390,000 for charity.

Meanwhile, Solskjaer recorded his fourth straight win as United caretaker boss at St James Park, becoming the first United manager to win his first four league games since Sir Matt Busby in 1946.

An impressive statistic albeit against modest opposition, but it's the style of football which has rejuvenated the United camp.

Free-flowing, attacking football with Solskjaer's side bagging 14 goals.

After securing three-points against Newcastle United, the 45-year-old outlined his desire to stay on beyond his temporary deal.

"Of course, I won't [want to leave,] I don't want to," he said.

"It's such a great bunch of players, atmosphere, but it's the next game, it's the next game, it's the next game, and I'm doing my job as long as I'm here.

"Of course, tougher challenges await. We've played teams in the lower half of the table, but these games need to be won, you can't beat anyone else other than the team you're playing.

"The performance today was really professional, very solid. To come here against a club like this, with the fans they've got, it was excellent how the boys dealt with it in the second-half."
