Troy Deeney's Post-Match Interview Is Proof He's Hard As Nails

Brilliant attitude from the Watford captain.

Troy Deeney gave a brilliant post-match interview following his sides draw with Fulham.

The Watford captain was subject to a dangerous tackle from Timothy Fosu-Mensah in the first-half with Martin Atkinson brandishing just a yellow card.

I don't think there would've been any complaints if a red card was shown.

To be fair, Deeney helped the Dutch defender from receiving a straight red card.

He didn't overreact or make a meal of it, and that sentiment was echoed during his post-match interview.

When Deeney was asked about the hefty challenge, he said: "Maybe I need to roll around screaming about it but that's not really my game, its just a tackle isn't it and we get on with it.

"I'm a big ugly boy, I'll be fine, if it's a broken bone it is what it is, I'll be at the boxing later but I'll have to get an X-ray first."

Class - brilliant attitude.

The Manchester United loanee has since apologised for his tackle.

Meanwhile, a lot of people are slowly warming to Deeney:

Meanwhile, whilst Watford dropped two points, they're still in fourth place having won four games from six league matches.
