WHEN WILL THIS STOP.

When will this madness stop?

Just hours after Antoine Griezmann took to Twitter to declare he is 'now more than ever' an Atletico Madrid player, international teammate Paul Pogba has fueled the fire once again.

Last week, Pogba's celebratory Instagram video after Manchester United won the Europa League intrigued plenty of Manchester United fans after he impersonated Griezmann's trademark celebration.

Then in another clip, when asked if he was going to be playing with Griezmann at club level as well as the French national team, he told the reporter to "watch this space".

There's been plenty of signs that Pogba wants his international teammate at Old Trafford next season, and the midfielder's latest Instagram post has got people talking, again.

With the caption "Toujours av mon gars, angry mode, prêt pour demain. The face tho", Pogba looks to be teasing the transfer as speculation grows.

Is it just a coincidence that Pogba posts a picture of Griezmann just hours after he tweets about Atletico Madrid?

Really?

There's plenty of comments on the post, with many asking if the French striker is on his way to Old Trafford.

But it looks like the constant rumour mill surrounding his move to Manchester United was slammed shut on Thursday night.

Griezmann took to Twitter this evening to declare that he is 'now more than ever' an Atletico Madrid player

Manchester United have been linked with the France international for months, but now the transfer looks more unlikely than ever after Griezmann pretty much played down a move.

Here's Griezmann's tweet translated: Now more than ever

The news comes just hours after it was suggested that Manchester United are no longer interested in signing Griezmann.

It had been reported, in the immediate aftermath of United's Europa League victory over Ajax last week, that a deal for the Frenchman was imminent, with Champions League football effectively sealing the deal for a mega money move for the Atletico Madrid forward.

However, James Ducker, Northern football correspondent for The Telegraph, has now reported that in recent weeks, Jose Mourinho's priorities have changed due to Zlatan Ibrahimovic's injury.

That in turn has prompted Mourinho into wanting another number nine instead of a number 10.

So who will United target next?

Both Romelu Lukaku and Alvaro Morata's names have cropped up on numerous rumour pages over the last few weeks, while reports in Italy have claimed over the weekend that a deal for Internazionale wide man Ivan Perisic is on the verge of being completed.

Who should Jose Mourinho sign next?
