Martin Odegaard is frustrated with a lack of playing time at Real Madrid and has sensationally requested to leave the club to find minutes elsewhere, according to reports in Spain.
The Norwegian midfielder, who joined Los Blancos in 2015 when he was 16-years-old, has started just five games for the Spanish giants this season after returning from a successful loan spell at Real Sociedad.
At this stage of last season Odegaard had started 16 of Sociedad's first 18 games, establishing himself as a key member of their first team squad.
In turn he flourished under the management of Imanol Alguacil, who had hoped the midfielder would stay put, but the 22-year-old was recalled from his loan spell at the end of last season at the request of Zinedine Zidane.

Despite wanting Odegaard to freshen things up in midfield area, Zidane has used the player sparingly - 367 minutes to be exact - and it appears Odegaard has had enough.
Spanish publication Marca report the midfielder has 'demanded' another loan move to secure more time on the pitch.
The Los Blancos manager, however, wants to keep the Norwegian at the Bernabeu due to a shortage of central players in attacking areas within his squad.
Odegaard has been tentatively linked with a move to Arsenal over the past year, so the news that the player wants to go out on loan again could peak Mikel Arteta's interest.
