Liverpool are considering getting rid of goalkeeper Loris Karius before the transfer window shuts, according to reports, with Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen showing interest in the 25-year-old.

The Telegraph claim that Jurgen Klopp 'is open' to the prospect of selling both Karius and Simon Mingolet in the coming days.

It has been a torrid few months for the player. Jurgen Klopp's side suffered defeat to Real Madrid in the Champions League final and two unfortunate blunders from the German goalkeeper played a huge part in defeat.

That night in Kiev was a night to forget for the LIverpool shot-stopper and since, he has shown signs of under-confidence in pre-season.

The 'keeper fumbled a free-kick to hand Tranmere's Jonny Smith a tap in from close range, which didn't exactly fill fans with confidence ahead of the new season.

Liverpool have since splashed £67 million on Alisson from AS Roma, who will inevitably become their number one ahead of the likes of Karius, so perhaps a move to build his confidence would be the best for both parties.

The report claims that Bayer Leverkusen, who sold Bernd Leno to Arsenal last month, are keen to get the 25-year-old on board as they search for a new goalkeeper.

A good move?

Do you think Loris Karius should move elsewhere and rebuild his confidence or should Jurgen Klopp continue to put his faith in the goalkeeper?
