It's official. Juventus have only gone and signed one of the greatest, if not thee greatest player of all time, Cristiano Ronaldo.

CR7 to Juve could arguably be classed as the biggest transfer of the 21st century and the details behind the deal are quite extrodinary.

The 33-year-old will sign with the Italian champions until June 2022 for a reported €30m per season, according to Fabrizio Romano, as the player leaves Real Madrid after nine successful years at the Bernabeu.


He's won Champions League and La Liga trophies, as well as four Balon d'Or trophies during his time in Madrid, but he will begin a new journey in the coming days, weeks and months.

Real Madrid have released the following statement confirming the news:

"Real Madrid CF communicates that, in response to the will and request expressed by the player Cristiano Ronaldo, he has agreed to transfer to Juventus FC.

Today, Real Madrid wants to express its gratitude to a player who has proved to be the best in the world and who has marked one of the brightest times in the history of our club and world football.

Beyond the conquered titles, the trophies achieved and the triumphs achieved in the playing fields during these 9 years, Cristiano Ronaldo has been an example of dedication, work, responsibility, talent and improvement.

He has also become the top scorer in the history of Real Madrid with 451 goals in 438 games. In total 16 titles, including 4 European Cups, 3 of them consecutive and 4 in the last 5 seasons. On an individual basis, with the Real Madrid jersey he has won 4 Gold Balls, 2 The Best, and 3 Gold Boots, among many other awards.

For Real Madrid Cristiano Ronaldo will always be one of his great symbols and a unique reference for the next generations.

Juventus president Andrea Angelli was pictured alongside a private jet at Pisa airport on Tuesday as he prepared to fly out to Greece to meet both Cristiano Ronaldo and his agent, Jorge Mendes.

It it believed that Ronaldo is currently on holiday near Kalamata as strong rumours continued to swirl.


Ronaldo will become the 7th Portuguese player ever to play for Juventus when he makes his first appearance for the Serie A side.

On top of that Juventus winger Juan Cuadrado, who helped the club win their seventh Serie A title last season, is willing to give up his number seven shirt to Cristiano Ronaldo, according to Italian outlet Sport Mediaset.
