Erling Haaland wants to become the highest paid player in Premier League history on a wage of £600,000-a-week, according to reports.

The 20-year-old Borussia Dortmund striker, who has scored 39 goals in 36 games in all competitions this season, has been linked with a big-money move throughout the summer, with a number of European giants interested in his signature.

In fact, just hours before his goalscoring efforts against FC Koln in his last Bundesliga game, it was reported that Real Madrid have been informed that Haaland wants to play for them, with the Norwegian striker eager to become the club's 'main man' next season.

Another club who are reportedly interested in signing the Norwegian are Premier League leaders Manchester City.

Pep Guardiola's side will likely dip into the market for a new forward after it was announced earlier this week that Sergio Aguero will leave at the end of the 2020/21 campaign.

That being said, City will have to pay Haaland a remarkable £600,000-a-week if they want to land the most wanted man in football, according to The Sun.

They claim the package - worth over £300 million if he signs a five-year deal - would mean the Norwegian would rake in a total of £156 million in wages alone.

It is clear that Haaland's goal-scoring services won't come cheap.

It was reported last week that Dortmund have slapped a staggering £154 million asking price on their prized asset, according to ESPN, with the Bundesliga club hellbent on keeping the in-form striker for at least another year.

Haaland, of course, is attracting interest from Europe's elite including Manchester United and Barcelona, among many others.

Who do you think he should join? Or should he stay at Borussia Dortmund?
