This weekend's North London Derby is shaping up to be the highlight of Sunday's Derby Day.

Arsenal entertain their fiercest rivals Tottenham Hotspur at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday afternoon, with just three points separating the two.Arsenal currently sit in 5th in the Premier League on 27 points and are currently on an 18-match unbeaten run, with their last defeat coming on August 18th.

Gunners boss Unai Emery has proved many doubters wrong and added an element of grit to his side, which they showed at the weekend in their 2-1 victory at high-flying Bournemouth. They also sealed top spot in their Europa League group on Thursday night following a 3-0 win over FC Vorskla.

Spurs on the other hand are currently sitting 3rd in the table three points ahead of their rivals and have enjoyed two wins in the last week, with a 3-1 demolition of Chelsea on Saturday evening and 1-0 Champions League victory over Inter Milan on Wednesday night.

The Gunners will be hoping to halt the momentum of Mauricio Pochettino's side, with a victory potentially seeing Arsenal move into the top four.

It's hard to call a winner in the game, but Arsenal are currently favourite with oddsmakers due to their home advantage. However, this hasn't stopped former Spurs player and manager Tim Sherwood from showering praise over his former side. Speaking on The Debate on Sky Sports on Thursday night,

Sherwood along with former Arsenal man Paul Merson picked their combined XI of both sides and Sherwood featured several omissions from the red side of North London. Check the teams out below.

Both sides are weighted heavily towards Tottenham players, with Merson only including Mesut Ozil and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from his former side.

However, Sherwood opted for a full Spurs side, which includes the likes of Harry Winks and Eric Dier, with the latter also being selected by Merson.

Interestingly, both men left out Lucas Torreira and Alexander Lacazette, who have become staples of Unai Emery's new Arsenal side. Sherwood also left out Aubameyang, despite the Gabon forward being joint top of the goal scoring charts with eight goals

Hector Bellerin also misses out, who currently sits fourth in the Premier League assist charts.Twitter did not hold back their thoughts when it came to Sherwood and Merse's selections.

ho would you have in your combined Arsenal and Tottenham XI?
