The Moment Ander Herrera Appears To Spit On Manchester City's Crest As He Walks Off The Pitch
It looks like Manchester United midfielder Ander Herrera appeared to spit on Manchester City's club crest as the players left the field of play at half-time on Saturday afternoon, and it's caused quite a stir on social media.
Herrera, who hasn't been a regular under Jose Mourinho this season, was clearly a little agitated by the result after 45 minutes and proceeded to show his frustration in a manner that has understandably angered plenty of City supporters.
Sky cameras picked up the moment and although very few spotted the incident at the time, footage has since done the rounds on social media.
Some fans on Twitter suggested that action should be taken against the Spaniard for allegedly spitting on the printed crest.
As we know, Manchester United produced one of the Premier League's greatest comebacks this weekend when Paul Pogba and Chris Smalling ruined City's predicted title celebrations.
Here are some reactions from social media after images and footage emerged of Herrera's antics.
Do you think it was intentional?

Did anyone else see Herrera do a cheeky spit on the crest. That's why I love him. :joy: Just turn up 2nd half. This City team are not Barcelona, not Madrid, as much as they think they are. Just go & play they haven't even tried. Come on United! #mufc- Michelle Victoria (@MichVictoria12) April 7, 2018
I've just seen a clip of Ander Herrera, as he leaves the pitch at HT he walks over the Manchester City badge and spits on it. One of the many players who know what the rivalry is about + he's one of the biggest wind-ups in the game.- JM. (@Mourinholic) April 8, 2018
