Ongoing maintenance on the Main Stand has meant the famous 'This is Anfield' sign has been temporarily removed. from the ground. As you can imagine, Liverpool fans are heartbroken by the developments.

Liverpool fans will be happy to hear that the Anfield sign has been safely stored to be reinstated in August.

The £260million project, which is due to be finished later this year, will take Anfield from 45,522 seats to around 54,000 seats.

In the process of maintenance, the widening of the players' tunnel has meant that the famous sign has had to be moved temporarily.
