It's official. The African Cup of Nations 2019 will be played in Egypt.
It was revealed back in November that Cameroon were stripped of staging the tournament because of slow preparations and now a new host has been confirmed.
Egypt and South Africa submitted formal bids to host the finals, and it is claimed that Egypt won with 16 votes compared to South Africa's one.

The Barea have never before qualified for Africa's continental football competition, but they'll be heading to Egypt next summer after a 1-0 win against Equatorial Guinea left them on 10 points, and top of their group, with two games to play.
What a tournament it should be.
