Young Kid Meets His Idol Kylian Mbappe And It's The Most Wholesome Content You'll See Today

Young Kid Meets His Idol Kylian Mbappe And It's The Most Wholesome Content You'll See Today

In one of the most wholesome moments of 2021 so far, Paris Saint-Germain striker Kylian Mbappe bumped into his biggest fan at the Parc des Princes.

The 22-year-old World Cup winner was taking part in a shooting drill ahead of PSG's Ligue 1 clash against Brest at the weekend when a young lad watching from the sidelines called out his name.

Mbappe ran over to the youngster and exchanged words before he went back to train.

Understandably emotional by the encounter, the kid wiped away tears of joy in an emotional moment.

Then, after Mauricio Pochettino's side secured all three points, a delighted Mbappe bumped into the youngster after the full-time whistle and handed over his match-worn shirt as a gift.

"A present for you. Did you enjoy the match?" he says.

The French forward soon asks what position he plays in before adding the youngster on Instagram. It's just a really great moment from one of the best player's in world football.

Of course, Mbappe knows how it feels to meet your idol as a kid. When he was just 13-years-old, the former Monaco forward was pictured in his bedroom surrounded by a shrine of Cristiano Ronaldo.

And years later, he posed for a picture with the five-time Ballon d'Or winner before eventually going toe-to-toe against him in the Champions League.

Mbappe's father told France Football back in 2016 that his son used to spend "hours" watching videos of Ronaldo on the internet and now, the Paris Saint-Germain forward is tearing teams apart on the biggest stage; like his idol has been doing for years.

In an interview with Spanish publication MARCA in 2017 ahead of PSG's clash against Real Madrid, Mbappe actually spoke about how influential Ronaldo was on his career as a youngster but it soon 'ended'.

"He is a hero from my childhood and it was amazing to meet him when I visited Valdebebas," he said.

"But I am a competitor and a person who is very competitive and all I want to do is win, win, win. So it doesn't really matter who is in front of us, we want to win.

"I admired him when I was younger, but that ended. Now I go to the Bernabeu to play and to win.

"From someone who has won five Ballons d'Or you can learn a lot. He's a great player, but I have those here too. Neymar is here and I think he is very similar and is at practically the same level as Cristiano Ronaldo. I learn from [Edinson] Cavani as a goalscorer too."
