Virgil Van Dijk Told He's On A Different Level To Nemanja Vidic

Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk has been told he is a "more complete" player than former Manchester United defender Nemanja Vidic.

Van Dijk, who looks set to lift the Premier League title in the coming weeks, has been instrumental in Liverpool's league form of late, keeping more clean sheets (12) than any other player this season.

And former Chelsea defender Frank Lebouef believes the Dutch international is on a different level to Nemanja Vidic; a player he is often compared to.

In a live studio chat with ESPN, Lebouef gave a fascianting insign as he praised both players.

"I would go for Van Dijk. I think he's more complete," he said. "I loved Vidic, because I think he was a dog, and a fantastic defender. But Van Dijk can lead the team and has range.

"I don't think Vidic was capable of doing that. Hats off to Vidic, though."

As mentioned earlier, van Dijk's outstanding season under Jurgen Klopp has led to comparisons with Vidic, and one fan in particular has claimed to 'prove' the Liverpool defender is better.
