It was a night to remember for the highly rated youngster Tahith Chong, who finally made his first team debut for Manchester United in their pre-season friendly against Club America, last night.

Let's be honest, it wasn't the greatest of nights for Jose Mourinho and his side. They managed to scrape a 1-1 draw against an average side at best after Juan Mata equalised in the 78th minute.

But away from the result, Chong's brief 30-minute cameo gave supporters at least something to be excited about.

The 18-year-old whipped in the cross for Mata's goal in the second half, as well as causing havoc on the right wing throughout his short spell on the pitch.

If you haven't seen his highlights yet, here's a four minute recap.

Jose Mourinho was certainly impressed with the youngster's performance and after the draw, the Dutch talent began to trend on Twitter, with many praising his confidence in possession, as well as his ability to defend.

"He (Chong) was good. He came with the intention to show, and in a moment where we have no strikers on the pitch, Martial was the only one and then he left, so we needed people to create, have some initiative, which he did." he told MUTV.

"The action for the cross for the goal is a beautiful action. He was enthusiastic, he was confident to play."

"Of course physically he has his limitations, and when he has one more touch and he allows that body contact of course he loses it, but when he makes the ball move and attacks people one against one, he has quality. He's a good kid."

Back in January this year, Tahith Chong announced himself to an onlooking Jose Mourinho with a sublime individual performance on his reserve team debut, last night.

Boasting the famous number seven shirt against Tottenham's reserve side, Chong genuinely looked a threat from attacking positions and deservedly found the net in the 49th minute.

Chong, who joined the club back in April 2016 having been tempted away from Feyenoord, has clearly adapted to life in England and this performance clearly impressed the onlooking manager after he joined the club in their US pre-season tour.

Seriously, this lad looks the real deal. Just look at him dancing around the opposition with ease:

Not only did he put it away spectacularly, but Chong definitely enjoyed finding the back of the iconic stadium's net for the first time in his young career.

A number of Premier League clubs were reportedly interested in the Dutch sensation, including Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester City, but Chong sealed a move to Old Trafford and the rest is history.

When questioned on his future at Feyernoord back in April 2016, Chong said the following:

"It was my intention to stay at Feyenoord, but no plan was made for me. When I announced that I wanted to leave, they were indeed a plan. That was too late."

''With United I had a good feeling. You can feel immediately when you enter this club.'

I'm sure Jose Mourinho has a good feeling about the future of Tahith Chong. He might look like Marouane Fellaini, but the 18-year-old should certainly surpass his teammates feats at Old Trafford in the coming years.

Remember the name.
