In a world where dabbing is the norm, football has inherited a handful of modern day characteristics and whether you like it or not, it is here to stay.

As we all know, one of the biggest characters in the game right now is Paul Pogba, who basically introduced one of these characteristics, dabbing, to world football.

Well, this latest news is just peak football right now.

Pogba has become the first footballer in history to receive his own emoji. That's right - you can now attach Paul Pogba's head onto a tweet because that's what everybody needs in life.

In a video he uploaded to Twitter, the Manchester United midfielder mimics the emoji by imitating it's hairstyle. Again, peak modern day football.

He soon became the top-trending topic worldwide on Twitter in just a matter of minutes.

Here's the clip:

Manchester United's group managing director, Richard Arnold, said:

"This emoji is another great tool for our supporters to connect with the club through a digital environment, particularly as the excitement builds for Sunday's match against Liverpool.

"Since returning to the club Paul has become an important player. He is an iconic figure for our supporters around the world, one of the best players in the game and a terrific role model."

Brilliant.
