Marouane Fellaini Had Neymar In His Back Pocket The Last Time They Met
The fact that Marouane Fellaini stopped Neymar from making an impact in the World Cup quarter-final may give some Manchester United fans a glimmer of hope as they prepare to face Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League.
Belgium progressed through to the semi-finals thanks to a Kevin de Bruyne strike and an own goal from Fernandinho, but the performance of Fellaini, who stopped the threat of a number of players, was a big reason behind the win.
He bossed the centre of midfield, using his power to stop the Brazilians from making a breakthrough, especially when coming up against Neymar.

Can't wait to see Fellaini pocket Neymar. Remember World Cup? :joy: pic.twitter.com/o8ebLLfijZ
Throughout the tie he managed to knock Neymar off the ball. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't pretty but it stopped the forward from causing problems in the final third.
The pair could come head to head when United face PSG in the Champions League Round of 16 tie in February and March, but can the 31-year-old stop Neymar from running the show again?
Some United fans are convinced that history could repeat itself.

I'm very much looking forward to Neymar vs Marouane Fellaini, part two in a couple of months time.
Can Manchester United progress to the quarter-finals of the competition or will Thomas Tuchel's side teach them a European lesson?
