Manchester City Drop A Second-Half Masterclass In Champions League Semi-Final To Complete Comeback vs PSG

Manchester City will go into next week's Champions League semi-final second-leg with a 2-1 lead after they produced a wonderful comeback against Paris Saint-Germain at the Parc des Princes.

It was the French champions who dominated in the early stages of the tie and, after a blistering opening 15 minutes, it didn't take Mauricio Pochettino's side long to make a breakthrough.

Angel Di Maria, who was impressive throughout, managed to find centre-back Marquinhos with a lovely whipped-in ball from a corner to give them a deserved 1-0 lead.

The Ligue 1 side continued to dominate in the first-half but a completely different Manchester City turned up in the second.

Kevin de Bruyne equalised in the 64th minute with a bizarre effort from range. The Belgian clearly meant to float in a cross but instead found the net, with Keylor Navas making a rare error between the sticks.

I mean, what was Navas thinking here?

Just seven minutes later and in-form winger Riyad Mahrez arrowed in a cracking free-kick to make it 2-1 to complete the comeback.

Things then went from bad to worse for the Parisians when defensive midfielder Idrissa Gueye received his marching orders for a reckless challenge on Ilkay Gundogan.

It's fair to say 10-man PSG couldn't get going again after that as City cruised to victory.

Can Pep Guardiola's side go on and reach the Champions League final for the first time in their history?
