Lorenzo Insigne Has Just Single-Handedly Destroyed Fiorentina With The Most Outrageous Assist

Napoli forward Lorenzo Insigne not only scored a brace in the club's Serie A clash against Fiorentina, but the Italian international produced one of the best assists you'll see in a very, very long time.

The 29-year-old helped his side to a dominant 6-0 win against Cesare Prandelli's side at the Estadio Diego Armando Maradona stadium, and was instrumental in everything Napoli did on Sunday afternoon.

For many, though, it was an assist for Hirving Lozano to make it 3-0 that will grab the headlines. Just check this out, folks.

As you can see in the footage above, Insigne runs from his own half with three defenders on his tail before eventually wriggling away from the Fiorentina back-line.

He then turns and releases a wonderfully weighted through ball to the onrushing Mexican forward, who punts it past a helpless Bartłomiej Drągowski.

It was an assist even the great Diego Maradona would have been proud of.

Insigne opened the scoring in the fifth minute with a well-placed opener; a sign of things to come for the home side.

Napoli went on to punish Fiorentina from that moment onwards. Diego Demme found himself in space to make it 2-0 before Hirving Lozano, Piotr Zielinksi, Matteo Politano and that man Insigne completed the rout.

Gli Azzurri now sit in third place after that convincing win, while Fiorentina linger in 14th.
