A press conference ahead of Tottenham's Europa League clash against KF Shkëndija produced an emotional moment when a journalist requested a photo with Jose Mourinho.

North Macedonian reporter Igor Aleksandrovic wanted to ask the 57-year-old a question on behalf of his late father, who was a great admirer of the former Real Madrid and Inter Milan manager, but he missed out, despite having his hand up during the 15-minute Zoom call.

The reporter was said to be 'very upset' when he wasn't able to speak to the Spurs boss but after hearing about it, Jose came back, answered the question and promised the man a photo to put on his father's memorial.

"On one occasion when [my father] was very sick, he told me if I ever have the opportunity to see you, to ask a picture with you because he always told me to be like you and raised me like you," Aleksandrovic said.

"And he had massive respect, my father, for you and if you allow me a picture with you, I will frame it and put it on his eternal resting place.

"So if the match goes good for you and your team, would you allow me to do that?"

Mourinho then agreed to meet the journalist either before or after the Europa League tie, whatever the scoreline.

"Thank you so much," he told Aleksandrovic. "The picture has nothing to do with the result. The picture is done, let's do it.

"If you can meet us before the game, or maybe in the hotel is easier. If it's after the game, it's after the game. It's nothing to do with results. My pleasure to do the picture with you.

"And my honour to your father and respect that he feels so strong about me. I don't deserve that."

A classy gesture from the Spurs manager. Respect.
