A two minute compilation of Jordan Henderson's 'passionate vocal shouts' against Tottenham showcase his valuable leadership skills on the pitch.

For the third time this month, the 30-year-old midfielder was operating in the centre-back position after new injuries to Fabinho and Joel Matip, but the Liverpool captain didn't look out of place against Jose Mourinho's side on Thursday night.

In fact, Jurgen Klopp prefers Henderson to a younger candidate at the back like Rhys Williams or Nat Phillips because of his experience and personality.

"He [Henderson] plays there because he can do it and because he can help us there and you saw around the first goal (against Tottenham), stepping in and chipping the pass, that's what you want to see as well." he said.

"That he can defend in the position is clear, that he has to adapt and to learn the position is clear as well.

"But it's the personality we need, the experience we need and it's the football we need from the position."

With the experienced Henderson playing at centre-back, Liverpool have only conceded twice in those games, with his organisational and motivational skills on show for all to see.

The club's official Twitter account have recently posted footage of the England international's 'passionate vocal shouts' during their 3-1 win against Spurs - and it really hammers home how important Henderson is to this team.

"Passionate, honest and gives all he got for the team," said on Twitter user. "A true leader on and off the field."

While another said: "I was concerned that he wouldn't be able to do this effectively from the back, but he does. Real leadership."

Back in November, Liverpool winger Diogo Jota was the obvious star in their 5-0 victory over Atalanta, scoring a hat trick as the Reds took the Serie A side apart, but skipper Henderson was another key asset.

In fact, the England international was once again extremely vocal during the thrashing - practically coaching his team through the game.

He was heard giving advice to youngster Curtis Jones, as well as encouraging the likes of Sadio Mane and Jota.

A true leader, both on and off the pitch. Thoughts on Henderson's importance to Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp?
