Uruguay Goalkeeper Sebastián Sosa Gets Lion Tattooed On His Head Following Battle With Coronavirus

Independiente goalkeeper Sebastián Sosa has decided to get a huge portrait of a lion on the back of his head following a battle with Coronavirus.

The 34-year-old, who has played for a number of clubs across Argentina, including Boca Juniors and Vélez Sarsfield, says his hair started to fall out "abruptly" in the weeks after picking up COVID-19 in July.

After only having little hair remaining after he eventually recovered, Sosa decided to shave it all off before opting for an incredible tattoo by artist srdavid in the Mexican state of Sinaloa.

In an interview with TyC Sports, the former Rosario Central and Penarol shot-stopper opened up on why he got the ink earlier this year.

"I had coronavirus in July and at the end of August my hair started to fall out abruptly." he said.

"It fell from all parts of my body. I knew it was a sequel to Covid.

"I've always liked lions, that's why I wanted to tattoo one on the back of my head. They tell me I look like Hitman, and I like him.

"I only had a few left, so I decided to shave. I've always liked lions, that's why I wanted to tattoo one on the back of my head."

Sosa also spoke in detail about getting the six to seven hour procedure.

"My tattoo didn't hurt." he said. "When the tattoo artist started I said 'have you started? Is that all the pain?' The truth was I got along pretty well, it was six or seven hours. I have the lion back there.

"If at any time I want my hair to grow back, I'll cover it and if I want to show it off, I'll shave it."
