For the first time since 2004, Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich have been knocked out of the German Cup by a lower-league opposition side - and the limbs at full-time were something else.
The defending DFB Pokal champions now have more defeats in 2021 than they did in all of 2020 [and it's only January 14th] after German second division Holstein Kiel secured a place in the third round after a dramatic penalty shoot-out.
It looked like Bayern were going to run away with the tie after Serge Gnabry opened the scoring with just 14 minutes on the clock, but Holstein dug deep and Fin Bartels drilled home to equalise.

Leroy Sane then produced a wonderful free-kick from distance to put Munich ahead in the 47th minute.
But Ole Werner's side once again fought back and deservedly grabbed a last-gasp goal through Hauke Wahl's shoulder to stay in the tie deep into stoppage time.
The DFB Pokal second round clash eventually went to penalties and, after the first 10 spot-kicks were converted from both sides, Kiel goalkeeper denied midfielder Marc Roca.
Moments later, that man Bartels slotted past Manuel Neuer moments later to seal a historic win and the reaction afterwards was sensational. What a moment!
Bayern manager Hansi Flick was understandably in shock when reporters approached him after the final-whistle, but he voiced his appreciation for the second division side's heroic efforts.

"It's a shock of course. We're very disappointed, we wanted to defend the treble," said Flick after the game.
"Taken altogether, it was down to details, the team showed great spirit. We were dominant, which was our aim. It's very annoying that we conceded the equalizer in the last second.
"We must congratulate Kiel, they made it a real cup fight, they were completely committed. We must put it behind us and do things better. We must be more compact at the back. We must apply more pressure and be more solid when it comes to balls over the top.
"It's surprising, that's what the cup is like. Kiel defended well, their keeper turned in an outstanding performance. It just happens in penalty shootouts, I don't blame (Marc) Roca at all."
Holstein manager Werner, meanwhile, was overcome with emotion.

"This is an extraordinary experience for all of us," he said. "It doesn't happen every day and we will remember it for a long time.
"We defended sensibly and had a good goalkeeper. Up front, we also got into the situations we wanted to be in, such as the goal to make it 1-1. When we had the ball, we were brave and I think that was the key to get a foothold in this game."
