Cannabis became one of the most widely used drugs in the nation of Uruguay after it was legalised in 2014. In fact, it became the first country in the modern era to legalise the popular substance.
So just how popular is the drug? Well, Marijuana can be seen growing in football stadiums. No, seriously.
The clip shows the drug growing from the middle of the famous Campeón del Siglo, with fans taking pictures and discussing the discovery in the stands.

This isn't the first time Marijuana and Football have paired to hit the headlines. it turns out football fans were allowed to bring marijuana, cocaine and heroin to the World Cup, according to The Moscow Times.
Obviously, it's not quite as straightforward as it initially sounds, as the drugs needed supporting medical documents - written in the Russian language - to go alongside them.

Russia's 2018 World Cup Organizing Committee told the pro-Kremlin Izvestia newspaper that law enforcement officers would be on duty to verify the authenticity of drug prescriptions.
"Security officers will monitor the enforcement of rules for carrying prescription drugs to stadium grounds at checkpoints," the committee said.
The Russia-led Eurasian Economic Union grants travellers the right to bring in otherwise-banned substances to the country, but only if there is the correct documentation.
