Emma Hayes has earned some well-deserved plaudits for her insightful and well-researched commentary throughout the European Championship - and a recent picture has emerged showing how much preparation goes into her craft.

The Chelsea Ladies head coach, who guided the Blues to a Women's Super League title last season, has been feeding the nation with tactical nous and knowledge in a number of Euro 2020 fixtures, including Spain's victory against Croatia on Monday.

And ahead of that round of 16 game at the Parken Stadium in Copenhagen, fellow commentator Karen Carney gave fans an insight into Hayes' pre-match preparation by posting a picture of her detailed notes. Now, this is some serious prep.

It was announced back in May that the Chelsea boss would join ITV's punditry line-up alongside the likes of Roy Keane, Gary Neville and Nadia Nadim, as well as Graeme Souness, Patrick Vieira and Ian Wright, who labelled Hayes' commentary as "elite" earlier this month.

It's fair to say the decision to bring the 44-year-old manager on board was a stroke of genius from the TV broadcaster.

Here is just a number of social media reactions to Hayes' commentary from Monday afternoon's clash between Spain and Croatia. Oh, and let's not forget Joe Speight, the main commentator who was also in outstanding form throughout.

Thoughts on Emma Hayes' commentary during the tournament? Is she the best in the business?
