Shkodran Mustafi Has Kept More Clean Sheets Than Virgil van Dijk And Harry Maguire

Shkodran Mustafi has kept more clean sheets than Liverpool's Virgil van Dijk and Manchester United's Harry Maguire this season.

The German defender has three starts for Arsenal this season in all competitions, and he's kept three clean sheets.

He shut out Nottingham Forest in the EFL Cup and has stopped Eintracht Frankfurt as well as Standard Liège from scoring in the Europa League.

Both Van Dijk and Maguire have kept just two clean sheets this season in all competitions.

While Mustafi hasn't played in the Premier League this campaign, he has kept three clean sheets in an Arsenal shirt.

He's often been criticised by fans, but it needs to be acknowledged - he's been a rock at the back in the games he has played in.

Mustafi's third clean sheet of the term became the talking point of the online Arsenal community.

Mustafi has yet to feature in Arsenal's league campaign with summer signing David Luiz and Sokratis Papastathopoulos getting the nod by Unai Emery.

But his latest performance gives Emery food for thought ahead of Arsenal's league clash with Bournemouth on Sunday.
