Renato Sanches' Tweet After Swansea Are All But-Relegated Sums Up Modern Day Football

"Clearly isn’t a player with the right attitude..."

Renato Sanches has really struggled to find his feet at Swansea City since his highly anticipated move from Bayern Munich in the summer.

The 20-year-old failed to make an impression in Bayern's first team set-up last season, but his talents were rated by many and Paul Clement, among several other European suitors, were eager to snap him up.

Sanches eventually chose Swansea because of Clement's influence and the former Bayern assistant put his faith in the midfielder by slotting him in the starting XI on the opening day of the season.

In the build up to Swansea's Premier League tie against Newcastle in September, many were discussing his eagerly anticipated debut but unfortunately for Sanches, his debut at the Liberty Stadium didn't go to plan.

At the time, we appreciated that it would perhaps take time for the 20-year-old to adapt to his Premier League surroundings.

But the fact that he lost possession 14 times in the opening 28 minutes would have disappointed Europe's Golden Boy.

Since that game, Sanches has struggled to win over both the fans and his managers, making just 11 bit-part appearances in the Premier League.

It has been a tough few months for the Bayern midfielder, but he hasn't done himself many favours with his latest post on social media.

Not even 24 hours after Swansea suffered a devastating defeat in a relegation battle with Southampton, the 20-year-old left fans fuming when he announced that his own personal emojis will be released soon.

Well if that isn't modern day football summed up, I don't know what is.

As you can imagine, fans reacted to his plug with a flurry of comments:

So yeah, that didn't really go down well.
