Mohamed Salah will be rewarded with a new deal at Liverpool to fend off interest from the likes of Real Madrid, according to reports.

Salah, who has only been with the club for just over half a year, has netted 36 times in just 41 appearances this campaign, which is a recording breaking number by a Liverpool player in his debut season.

The Egyptian winger's current deal expires in 2022 but the club are eager to tie him down for even longer, with The Mirror suggesting that they are ready to hand him a new deal worth £200,000-a-week.

Real Madrid have been sniffing around a potential move and club manager Zinedine Zidane publicly hailed Salah earlier this year, saying "He is still young, improving all the time. I don't talk much about other players, but he is a player I rate a lot," via FourFourTwo.

Salah later admitted to reading the reports. Though he's assured his future lies at Liverpool while being 'happy' at Anfield.

"Well, I have heard so many rumours that it doesn't bother me anymore (...) They have treated me very well in Liverpool and at this moment, I belong to Liverpool and I am happy at Anfield," quoted by Spanish outlet Marca.

Salah did admit that he followed La Liga, but it looks like he will remain in the Premier League for years to come. You can breath a sigh of relief now, Liverpool fans:

"Yes, I follow it, I see some games. Not always, because sometimes they coincide with Liverpool fixtures, of course.

"It's a good league, has top teams, and the way they play is very attractive," Salah added about the Spanish top flight.

The Times reported this week that Klopp wanted fellow countryman Julian Brandt in the summer window, but Liverpool couldn't strike a deal and they had to look elsewhere.

They ended up with Mo Salah and the rest is history.

Do you think Salah will eventually find himself at Los Blancos?
