United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is expected to land his top summer target after the Red Devils agreed a hefty fee for Sancho.
The Premier League club already agreed personal terms with the Borussia Dortmund star, but United will now complete the move in a deal worth up to £73m.
Sancho has penned a deal with United until June 2026, with an option to extend until June 2027.
That is according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, who also revealed that United have agreed to add-ons in the deal for the 21-year-old winger.
Sancho is expected to follow in the footsteps of David Beckham, Ronaldo and Eric Cantona by wearing United's iconic No 7 shirt.
Speaking after the Sancho news broke, Ferdinand couldn't hold back his excitement as he shared valuable advice for United's incoming star.
The United legend, who played alongside Ronaldo at Old Trafford, suggested that Sancho needs to "immerse" himself in the club and "work hard" to become a success.
Speaking on his FIVE YouTube channel, Ferdinand said: "Just immerse yourself in everything about the club.
"Just work hard and make sure that everything you do is about being a success at Manchester United and being the best you can be there.
"Don't let anything sidetrack you or take you away. Be you, entertain, end product is what you're about and just bring that to the table.
"But that focus, please, your energy and focus, just be solely football."
Sancho is expected to arrive at United after international duty with England at this summer's Euro 2020.
Erling Haaland's father, Alf-Inge, sent a classy message to Sancho after United and Dortmund agreed a fee for the England international.
